The National Caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to hold today has been postponed to a later date.
Also, the Board of the Trustees (BOT) meeting, expected to hold this week, has been rescheduled. However, the meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) will hold this Friday in Abuja.
The APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who confirmed the postponement when he spoke with journalists, neither gave the reasons for the delay nor provided any information on the new dates for the meetings.
Oyegun, who however confirmed the plan to hold the NEC meeting this Friday, refused to give details of what would be discussed.
Investigations reveal that the meetings of caucus and BOT were postponed in order to give room for further consultations among members of the party.
Besides, the meetings were postponed in view of the fact that some members of the party had travelled for lesser hajj (umrah).
